There is no doubt that
Michael Hutchence was a
legend.  A rock star among
rock stars.  Michael was an
amazing lyricist, and one of
the most masterful and
skillful vocal talents to
grace the stage.  These are
the things that the World
remember.
And yet, there was another Michael, the Michael who was kind and generous to his
fans.  The shy man who also could be the life of the party.  The lover, the poet, the friend,
the family man.  He was all of those and yet not one of those things truly defined him.  He
was all of them and more.  The son, brother, band mate, and, most important, father.

As fans, we can never begin to imagine how his loss has affected those who knew him
well, who loved him, who had a part in his life.  We can only mourn that we lost a part of
our childhood, or a part of our teen years.  Or maybe, we lost the man who helped us
through a really rough time in our lives with his words,  words that made us feel like we
were not alone.  For those things we are grateful,  not only to Michael Hutchence, but also
to his family and friends, who shared him with us.

This site is a way for fans to reach out to each other, not in sadness, but to share our
memories of Michael, and celebrate his music, and his life.  Please be sure to join us at the
Fan Forum, where all of Michael's fans can meet up and interact.  We welcome you and
thank you for coming to The Michael Hutchence Fan Site.
